Put Your Website On Google’s First Page

Google is the leader of the online search market, with a pretty powerful monopoly. This is why it’s so important for you to aim to get your site to the front page of Google, which will help you reap the real benefits of targeted traffic.

Links from .edu sites carry more weight in Google’s eyes, which is why you want to get as many of these backlinks as possible. Having a good look around will reveal that getting .edu links to your site isn’t all that complicated. The reason why such backlinks are given so much importance is because they come from trusted sources, and have an educational background.

For an academic site to link to it, the site must have some value and Google bases their ranking decision on this information. So put your effort into getting a few .edu backlinks here and there to make a good impression on the search engine.

Try to be the first when it comes to delivering news in your industry. Tech blogs like Mashable and TechCrunch do this and that is why you will always find them at the top of Google’s pages for relevant keywords.

You can create a blog to attach to your site even if it isn’t focused on content where you can report on the latest information in your field. Being updated will help you keep your visitors updated, which ultimately helps you grow your position in the eyes of Google and maintain it.

If you want to get a good reputation with Google, then minimize the number of outgoing links from your website. Since outbound links have a tendency to drain the source page of page rank and pass it on to the target page, this can hurt you. Also, a site that’s important usually has more incoming links rather than outgoing links, simply because it is important. Make sure you only have important outbound links if you must have them and don’t have too many of them. Knowing what to do is the key to getting to the top of the SERPs and once you do, you won’t find it too hard to increase your page rank. Just get started and implement the advice in this article and the results will speak for themselves.

Marketing On Twitter – Is It A Profitable Way Of List Building?

Programs to automate Twitter marketing tasks were being greatly promoted a couple of ago. It was considered that Twitter was one of the better ways to grow a list and to get folks to order the products you are advertising. Nevertheless, how much of a bang for your buck do you get from any of these tools that were pushed at us to improve our gross sales? We are going to talk about Twitter marketing and whether or not it is worth your time and expense as part of your online marketing tactic.

I was one of those who was curious to see if getting a big following on Twitter was going to help my product promotion efforts and so bought the tools. Not only did I pay to join programs that would bring me followers but I invested in a number of softwares to help advertise the products I was selling. In all, I ended up purchasing about eight different programs that would help me with all of this.

I invested in a software package that would automatically follow people for me in an attempt to prompt them to follow me back. Those who were not following me on Twitter would be automatically removed from my follow list by another software I had paid for. This would enable me to follow many Twitter users once more to get them to follow me. A few of the software I paid for are not interesting enough to bring up but I will just mention a good program that auto-Tweeted any blog posts I made every time they were published. I must say that the combined effect of employing all these software together gave great results because each program did as advertised. I was speedily brought down to earth when I looked at my spreadsheet and realized that I wasn’t actually generating any money! My plan was to post many blog entries each day and each of them was then sent straight to show on Twitter. Then I discovered a way to have all the blog entries done for me automatically, believing that the more posts I would have the more Twitter users who would see them.

Okay, permit me to reveal to you my results. After three years utilizing these Twitter marketing tools, I had built about 10,000 Twitter followers. You might be extremely happy to have that number of followers, but there’s more to come. Also in the past three years I have had at least 15,000 of my blog posts that were promoting affiliate products tweeted to my Twitter account. Other than that, I did no other promotion for that blog, as a matter of fact I didn’t even ping the new blog entries to determine how good Twitter was could be. Exactly how ‘good’ it was rapidly became apparent: after 3 years only two affiliate sales generated $46.74 plus a whopping $9.10 for Adsense. With just 2 – 4 visits every day originating from Twitter, maybe this is not surprising.

Despite me utilizing tools to make the job simpler and getting roughly 10,000 followers on Twitter, I still could not turn a good profit using Twitter marketing for my blog. At the end of the day I’m now out of money for the Twitter tools I bought because my dollar return was so small. Finally, I cannot personally recommend using automatic software tools as an effective means of promoting on Twitter.
